By Sook Yee & Eugene -
Dear all, I am Sook Yee. Being in Eaglepoint Church has been an important part of my spiritual life. It is here that I learnt the true meaning of being a servant of God, which is to place Him above all in life.
Before this, my life revolves around studies only. When it comes to serving, I would just put God aside, especially nearing exam times. However, after I joined 1a.m., we learnt the true essence of worship, that is to give God the best and not to just fit Him in our free time. There was a time when I was so unwilling to spare my Saturdays for Him; because I wanted to study or even to spend time with friends. However, seeing examples from the leaders here, I started to see that I can also share the load of serving. So even if there’s an exam on Monday, I try to devote my Saturdays for serving and coming for worship service :D
Our God is our Jehovah Jireh, Whatever we give to Him, He will not short change us but will in many other ways bless us back. So, Arise and Serve your God!

Hi, I’m Eugene! I have been in Eaglepoint for full 3 years for now since Taylor’s. When I came here, I was just a lonely Christian by name. I had not attended church for a long, long time (long story). My priorities were just studies, to enjoy college life and lazed around.
One day, my classmate Jun (from Eaglepoint Damansara), approached me and cut the long story short, brought me to Eaglepoint, sitting right there. It was a ‘WOW!’ to me. The songs were lively, the pastor was funny, the people were lovely. So I continued coming. But beyond that, I notice many people serving. It struck a curiosity in me since I was not even exposed to how church life is and I wanted to experience it. So I joined the sound and photography team as it was one of my few areas of interest. As I served, I found joy in serving and made me want to serve more.
Though studies may be tough, and more time is needed to be sacrificed but when I weigh the fulfillment, I chose serving. With this, I set aside Saturdays to be in church. I know usually Saturdays are time of rest, going out to malls and more sleep. But I have found that the best place to find rest is the house of God. For me it has also been a platform to discover life with others. The now me is no longer the old lonely Christian by name. I’m glad I’ve grown and hope that this experience will also be yours. Thx!
